The Brief
Leeds City Council required restoration of the Mandela Gardens fountain to ensure it was safe, functional, and visually appealing in time for the summer months. The brief involved technical pump work, electrical upgrades, and careful cosmetic restoration.
What We Did
- Pump Replacement: All fountain pumps were removed and replaced with modern, efficient units to ensure reliable operation.
- Electrical Panel Recommissioned: We upgraded and recommissioned the electrical control panel to meet current standards.
- Cosmetic Restoration: The entire fountain structure was thoroughly cleaned and painted to enhance its appearance.
- Operational Testing: Once works were completed, the fountain was fully tested and made operational for public use.
- On-Time Delivery: The project was completed on schedule and the fountain reopened just in time for summer footfall.
- Public Recognition: The project was featured in the Yorkshire Evening Post — a proud moment for the team and local community.
